Situated in the heart of the charolais district in Burgundy, Digoine Castle is beyond question one the most charming and attractive "chateaux" of the french eighteen century. Surrounded by a vast landscape park comprising a lake and a formal garden, it has also the rare privilege of housing a tiny and surprising private Italian theatre. The whole site is listed as "Monument Historique" (french Heritage).
